Ahead of the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, which officially starts Friday, Disneyoffered a preview of the Star Wars theme parks that are currently being constructed at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
First announced in 2015, the attraction dubbed Star Wars Land has a long way to go until its open to the public in 2019. And although Disney has released plenty of concept art and a look at the construction of AT-ATs, it nowrevealed a detailed model that will be on display at D23 throughout the weekend.
This is the most ambitious land weve built to date, Bob Chapek, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, said,according to a report from Bloomberg.
The model was previewed Thursday night, and attendees will be able to view it during D23. In a blog post, Disney Parks revealed that the lands will transport guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port, and one of the last stops before the Wild Space.
For those of us who arent able to attend D23, Disney released photos of the video and model, which only begin to capture the amount of detail the parks plan to cover.
Oh, it's… beautiful. A detailed model of the Star Wars-themed lands in Disneyland and Walt Disney World was just revealed at Disney D23.

There are some familiar sights to any fan, like the Millennium Falcon, which will be one of two rides planned for the park. Fans will be able to control the Millennium Falcon on a secret mission while another ride transports you to a fight between the First Order and the Resistance.
A report from io9 states that Disney plans to reveal even more information on the theme parks during a presentation taking place on Saturday. Until then, we can try to find even more details hidden within the model photos.
