The movie doesnt have much to brag about, since its only brought in a $460 million worldwide, and is only reassertingthe power of female-led films in Hollywood.
But, those trivialities aside, is a story that focuses on a strong, female, Amazonian princess who leaves her homeland and devotes herself to fighting for the greater good of mankind.

OK, maybe not exactly. But, thinking of it now, there are definite, hard-to-miss similarities between the films title characters, both of whom are strong, courageous, and empowered females who set out on their own paths.
