Michael Mantenuto, one of the stars of
Mantenuto was one of a number of young, first-time film actors to star in the 2004 retelling of the U.S. Hockey Team’s 1980 “Miracle on Ice” game against a much stronger Russian team, playing real-life Olympic star Jack O’Callahan. He was only 22 at the time.
He went on to act in a movie called Dirtbags and Matthew McConaughey‘s Surfer, Dude before leaving acting to join the army, ending up in the esteemed Special Forces.
Such a tragic, shocking end to his story.
